Jamie Chung (TV's SAMURAI GIRL) has been cast as Goku's love interest Chi Chi in James Wong's DRAGONBALL, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. Justin Chatwin (THE INVISIBLE) is playing hero Goku, while BUFFY star James Marsters is playing villain Piccolo.
In the film, humanoid alien Goku is sent to Earth to destroy all life, but instead follows his grandfather's wishes to collect the seven mystical Dragon Balls, keeping them out of the hands of evil aliens.
KUNG FU HUSTLE star Stephen Chow is producing.
Akira Toriyama created the original manga, published by Jump Comics. Since its debut, it has been adapted into successful anime series, graphic novels and videogames.
