J.J. Abrams has tapped his FRINGE writers and exec producers Monica Breen and Alison Schapker to rewrite the Bad Robot project ZANBATO, reports Deadline.com. The top-secret film involves Japanese history and robots. Francis Lawrence had been previously set to direct.
In addition to writing and exec producing on FRINGE, Breen and Schapker are developing the TV crime drama PULP.
