V&S Entertainment Ltd - producer of popular children’s series Everything’s Rosie - has announced details of a new agreement that will see the launch of a range of dress up and accessories based on the smash-hit brand.

The new licensing agreement has been confirmed with top licensee VMC Accessories and will lead to a wide range of fashionable Rosie products hitting the market. Dress up costumes will be complemented by accessories that include headwear, scarves, mittens, gloves and sunglasses. There is already strong interest from retail and it is anticipated that merchandise will hit the shelves in spring/summer 2012.

“We are delighted that VMC Accessories has joined the Everything’s Rosie licensing programme,” says Julie Quirke, Director of Licensing at V&S Entertainment, “this adds to a rapidly increasing list of top quality licensees, underlining the wide ranging appeal and strong support for the brand across multiple categories.”

The HD CGI pre-school animation is aimed at girls and boys aged 3 to 6 and has been broadcast on CBeebies since May 2010 and is one of the channel’s top rated shows. This vibrant and upbeat series centres on Rosie, a little girl with a taste for adventure, and a cast of equally lovable characters such as Will, Holly, Big Bear, Oakley the ancient oak tree and Raggles the rabbit. Rosie and her friends are positive, bright and inspiring role models - offering fun, laughter, discovery and timeless life lessons to pre-schoolers. A third series of the show is currently in production and will air in 2012.

This latest agreement adds to an extremely impressive licensing programme that includes Vivid Toy Group, Egmont, NBC Universal, Blues Clothing, Roy Lowe & Sons, TDP Aykroyds, Vogue International, Worlds Apart, Zap and Zeon; categories include toys, DVDs, board games and puzzles, apparel, bedding, lunchware, bags and publishing.

It’s not just the UK where the brand is having a big impact - European broadcast has followed on very quickly from Britain and RTVE - Spain, France Television - France, Canal Panda - Portugal and RAI YOYO - Italy have already snapped up the series. In Spain, Rosie has been recording particularly impressive viewing figures and is attracting a high level of interest from the licensing community; this has led to a programme being rolled out that already includes partners such as IMC, Safta, Stor, Astro and CYP Imports. The Vivid toy line will launch there in November, distributed by Giochi Preziosi Spain, and will be backed by a major marketing campaign. V&S Entertainment is also commencing M&L programmes in Portugal, France and Italy.
