Digital Domain's new Florida production studio is venturing into video games, animation and military simulation graphics, Variety reports.
For the time being movie vfx will be done primarily at the company's offices in Los Angeles and Vancouver.
Digital Domain's parent company Wyndcrest Holdings invested $50 million into the new outpost and the studio is also getting a $10 million cash grant from local developers, a 15-acre land grant from a local developer valued at $10 million, and a $20 million grant from the state of Florida's Office of Tourism, Trade and Economic Development.
Digital Domain recently expanded into Vancouver and it's headquarters will remain in Venice, Calif.
