Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio's production house Appian Way have hired Rand Ravich to write a script based on the TWILIGHT ZONE TV series, per VARIETY.
The project was first set up a year ago to transform the iconic sci-fi, fantasy and horror series into a feature film.
Ravich directed THE ASTRONAUT'S WIFE and was an exec producer on CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND. He is the creator on NBC's detective series LIFE.
Rod Serling created the original series, which ran for five seasons on CBS starting in 1959. He wrote more than half of the 156 episodes.
WB was also behind the previous attempt at a feature film version of the property, 1983's TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE featuring Steven Spielberg and John Landis both producing and directing segments.
