Sony Pictures Animation's THE CHUBBCHUBBS SAVE X-MAS received the award for "Best Animation" at the Big Apple Film Festival, held this past weekend in New York. In the follow-up to the 2002 Academy Award-wining short, Meeper and the ChubbChubbs visit Earth, where the strange but lovable entourage encounters Santa Claus, voiced by Jeffrey Tambor (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW), in their search for somewhere to call home.
THE CHUBBCHUBBS SAVE XMAS was directed by Cody Cameron and produced by Kirk Bodyfelt for Sony Pictures Animation. In addition to Tambor, it features the voices of Brad Simonson returning as Meeper and Jeff Wolverton back as the ChubbChubbs. Both THE CHUBBCHUBBS SAVE XMAS and THE CHUBBCHUBBS! are now available on DVD and Blu-Ray as special features on the Sony Pictures Home Ent. release of SURF'S UP.
