Chorion's Olivia Gets Ready For Her World Debut

Chorion has signed a raft of major international broadcast partners for its brand new children's television series OLIVIA, based on the best-selling, award-winning book property.

Chorion has secured deals with TF1 in France, Nick Jr U.K., Treehouse in Canada, Danmarks Radio and The Walt Disney Company Latin America for the preschool animated series.

Credited as one of the most viewed new shows at 2007's MIPCOM Jr, OLIVIA is a Nickelodeon (U.S.) commission that has already been been picked up by Five in the U.K., ABC Australia, YLE Finland, SVT Sweden, NRK Norway and RUV Iceland. OLIVIA will begin airing worldwide from spring 2009.

Based on the award-winning books written and illustrated by Ian Falconer, OLIVIA is a 3D CGI series animated by the Academy Award nominated company Brown Bag Films. Chorion's Diana Manson and Kurt Mueller, and Brown Bag Film's Cathal Gaffney are exec producers of OLIVIA together with head writer Pat Resnick -- the screen and television writer who credits include 9 TO 5, QUINTET, MAXIE, STRAIGHT TALK and the Golden Globe-nominated HELL ON HEELS -- THE BATTLE OF MARY KAY. Co-Exec Producers are Kate Boutilier and Eryk Casemiro.

Series Producer is Megan Laughton and producers are Karen Ialacci and Gillian Higgins. The series is being animated at Brown Bag Films and is directed by Darragh O'Connell.
