Press Release from Cartoon Network Enterprises
(January 11, 2011) – Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), the global licensing and merchandising arm of the television network, today announced the promotion of two of its staff members, elevating Erik Resnick to the position of vice president of home entertainment and Pete Yoder to the position of vice president of consumer products for North America. Both will continue to report in to Christina Miller, senior vice president of CNE and will remain in their current locations with Resnick in CNE’s Atlanta office and Yoder in New York.
“Erik and Pete have each proven that they are strong, dedicated leaders with sharp business instincts and the ability to deliver results,” said Miller. “I believe these well-deserved promotions will put them in a position to make even greater contributions to our group and overall business in the future.”
Since joining CNE in 2001, Resnick has been responsible for the development and management of the home entertainment division for Cartoon Network and Adult Swim, where he has directed the marketing and distribution of both networks’ DVD business. During his tenure at CNE, his responsibilities have expanded to include the development of the division’s electronic sell-through business, the launch of Adult Swim’s online retail shop (www.adultswimshop.com) as well as the Williams Street Records label, and the expansion of Adult Swim's live tours. In this new role, Resnick will continue to manage the home entertainment and content business for CNE, and will look for new business opportunities for the group’s portfolio of brands.
Yoder joined CNE in 2006 as director of hard lines, quickly delivering results across the toys, games, sporting goods and publishing businesses. He has since been responsible for managing the multi-billion dollar global Ben 10 toy line from Bandai America, as well as signing global partnership deals with industry leaders including LEGO and Mega Brands among others and launching the consumer products program for CNE’s newest action brand, Generator Rex. Yoder has also worked closely with CNE's partners in its role as third party licensing agent for Bakugan, the Spin Master portfolio and the PGA of America. In his new role, Pete will continue to oversee CNE’s licensing business, and his responsibilities will expand to include the oversight of its internal retail development team.
