Breakthrough Options Margaret Atwood’s Wandering Wenda & Friends

Breakthrough Entertainment has optioned Wandering Wenda & Friends, the critically-acclaimed children’s book series written by celebrated children’s author Margaret Atwood.

TORONTOBreakthrough Entertainment has optioned Wandering Wenda & Friends, the critically-acclaimed children’s book series written by celebrated children’s author Margaret Atwood, for development as an animated series for preschool viewers, it was announced by Joan Lambur, Executive Producer Animation, Live Action, Family and Children’s Programming for Breakthrough Entertainment. 

Breakthrough optioned the storybook series from Toronto-based publisher McArthur & Company.

Margaret Atwood is the award-winning author of more than forty books of fiction, poetry, and critical essays. She is an internationally bestselling author whose novels include Cat’s Eye, shortlisted for the Booker Prize; Alias Grace, which won the Giller Prize and the Premio Mondello in Italy; The Blind Assassin, winner of the Booker Prize; and Oryx and Crake, shortlisted for the Booker Prize. Oryx and Crake and The Year of the Flood are the first two novels in a planned science fiction trilogy. She lives in Toronto.
