New York City-based visual effects house, Black Logic, had launched a new broadband division. "We routinely take advantage of the Internet to show our advertising and broadcast clients their work-in-progress, as well as finished spots," said Alfie Schloss, Black Logic's VP of marketing. "We have now expanded our capacity and have a true multimedia presence on the Internet or on the computer desktop." Black Logic Broadband services will include: encoding/compression of audio and video; layoff of encoded/compressed imagery to video and computer-based media; file hosting; file transfer; standards; file conversion; transfer of non-compressed digital imagery to and from video; and consulting services for broadband solutions and strategies. Formats provided will include MPEG, Real, Quicktime and Windows Media.
