Former Netflix EMEA head launches U.K.-based production company to develop a range of new animated and live-action series and films targeting diverse audiences.
Former Netflix EMEA head Alexi Wheeler has announced the creation of his new U.K.-based production company, Wheel In Motion. This new venture marks a significant development as it joins Superprod Group, establishing a strong presence for the conglomerate within the U.K. market.
With a remarkable career spanning over two decades, Wheeler brings a wealth of experience to his latest endeavor. He most recently spent five years at Netflix, where his last role was leading animated series for EMEA. Prior to Netflix, he served as vice president of international production and development at Nickelodeon. Wheeler has contributed to the success of iconic shows such as Peppa Pig, Big Tree City, Sharkdog, The Last Bus, Zero Chill and Heartstopper. His film portfolio is equally impressive, featuring work on the Academy Award-nominated Robin Robin and Chicken Run 2.
Wheel In Motion is set to develop an array of new shows and movies targeting diverse audiences, encompassing both animation and live-action genres.
