Adult Swim Sets July 9 Launch for ‘Apollo Gauntlet’

2D-animated adventure comedy created by Canadian animator Myles Langlois is produced by 6 Point Harness, Mosaic, and Williams Street.

Get ready for a new type of hero. Adult Swim is premiering the animated adventure comedy Apollo Gauntlet on Sunday, July 9 at 12:15 a.m. ET/PT. (Viewers can also pre-binge the entire series in advance on AdultSwim.com starting July 7.)

Created by Canadian animator Myles Langlois, Apollo Gauntlet follows the eponymous superhero as he fights evil in a futuristic feudal society. The series is produced by 6 Point Harness, Mosaic, and Williams Street.

On Earth, Paul Cassidy is just another cop, but when the evil Dr. Benign transports him to another world, he becomes a new kind of hero. With the help of a magical suit and a set of talking gauntlets, he’s able to fight crime exactly the way he wants...and he’ll do it as APOLLO GAUNTLET!

Inspired by a combination of He-Man, Mystery Science Theater 3000 and the work of David Lynch, the 2D-animated 11-minute comedy series is an adaptation of Langlois’ web series of the same name, which was released in 2012 on YouTube network Rug Burn, a collaboration between Titmouse, Inc., and 6 Point Harness. Combined, the studios are responsible for popular digital animated series such as Happy Tree Friends, Deep Space 69, Cat Agent and Dick Figures.
