Rules:
- Must be 2D or 3D animation, looking for simple, engaging, interesting artistic style (grease pencil for 3D artists) for many future stories for the 80s/90s
- must follow rough short https://youtu.be/AM16DqhbdOk as inspiration and flow for your animated short entry
- You can use the audio from the short, or work on your own. Only animation required, sfx and audio not required but welcome.

- Winners determined solely by Boxels staff and announced on social channels after sufficient entries entered
- This is first of many similar competitions, prizes may increase as more good entries are added, subscribe to socials to be notified of each competition. The more subscribers the more cash prizes.
- Winners may post the video on their channel, but also give full rights to the video to Boxels
- Winners will be mentioned in credits, description, with socials. This is about building each other and a community to animate stories, share and learn.
- Original source files will be required to be eligible for prize and winning placements.

The Water Canon | Forbes Elementary School Stories 80s | Cheese the Day
- true story from my childhood (80s) one of many nods and hilarious stories to tell in future animated shorts
- walking to school in American Fork, Utah, homes and suburbs, sidewalk, spring grass, butterflies, bees, nature, calm (except the teenagers and their plans)
- i am 10 yrs old at the time, ninja turtles fan
- teens are in convertible vehicle, and indeed had a water cannon (of course i am exaggerating as kids imaginations are wild, but true story none-the-less)
- i am for sure singing teenage mutant ninja turtles and doing all the actions as I sing it
- i indeed observed everything, and stopped whenever i saw a kitten as shown in the rough
- the stores in backgrounds are indeed RIP and should be in those backgrounds (feel free to put subtle things in there from 80s
- feel free to put yourself as one of the teens in the vehicle, but as a rich punk rocker from the early 90s
- Very naive innocent kid. Simple clothing. Blushing all the time whenever anyone interacted with me.
