I'm just posting here as well as a few other forums to try and let everyone know about our Kickstarter campaign and one perk in particular called The Filmmaker Package.
Our campaign is called 'Grief Encounters' and we take the iconic art of LA urban artist Luke Chueh and make it into animated shorts. We hope to raise enough funds to make 5-20 of them and we're just trying to spread the word.
A little information about me. I'm a self taught animator and co founder of a studio called Freakish Kid. When I started there was no information about animated productions let alone any help in finding out what goes into a production.
Of course its all different now but still, online tutorials don't cover what actually goes into a high quality production. Thats where I thought I'd give something back to the community.
The Filmmaker Package gives the backer the entire production source files. Everything from design, boards and animatics, animation builds and animation files, composite, edit and sound. The complete production for a steal at $75. It's meant to help students, industry beginners and enthusiasts of animation understand and see what goes into an animated production. The files come with short documentaries that explain our process and how we work. I will be giving away all my tricks of the trade in a hope to inspire and help a new generation of filmmakers understand a major production process.
