I'm Simon, I'm twenty and I'm an animation student.
Today, I'm gonna show you my school project, a five minutes movie named Ichnos.
Ichnos, what is it ?
At dawn, a hunter follows the huge tracks of an animal all over a continent. At sunset, he loses the tracks at the top of a hill, so he decides to shout to catch the mysterious animal's attention. The answer outgrows any of his expectations.

I confess, I'm advertising my movie with this topic. But, you know, that's a way to give a life to my project. Sure, I'm open to some criticisms, that's the game I guess. Actually I have other ideas but first I prefer to have some feedback about this project.

Pretty cool videos and thanks for sharing your process videos as well, very informative!
I like the visuals a lot, they look very professional and cool. I also think effects with the music and vector art makes for some cool visuals.
The only thing I'd suggest is more action from the protagonist since it's mostly panning and looking at the action so it feels rather passive. But I feel the music and the visuals are great so I think it carries the film either way.

I appreciate that ! Actually, ink8yte, you're right the hero seems to be very passive in front of this quest and adventure. But my first idea it was to create a contemplation movie. As you say, the important for me it was to create an immersive universe thanks to the settings, shot and the music. Maybe the story is here to give meaning to the film but is not very essential, I guess ;)
