Hello all,
I am new to this forum and need some help. I am currently a sophomore at The Citadel (military college) in South Carolina in the US. I studied abroad this semester and have "found myself" (i know, lame, but whatever). I want to become an animator. However, I don't want to become an annimator for a tv show or movies, rather, I want to make music videos and art for bands. I really just want to attend a 1-2 year program that teaches me how to combine animation with real life video almost exactly like Pink Floyd's The Wall. I want for the program to lean more towards 2D animation, but I want to have basic knowledge of 3D animation. I have a band back home in Florida, and my goal for after graduation of a program would be to take the concept album that we are going to make this summer and produce an animated series where each song tells a part of the story, but in a very subtle way. (sorry for the randomness of ideas, thank you if you've read up to this point:)) I am willing to go anywhere in North America and I would prefer to have it be kind of like a normal college enviornment. Money is not an issue as long as it is not ungodly expensive. Thank you so much for the help.
