Aspiring filmmaker looking for advice or tips!!!!

Hello! My name is Tyler! I am an aspiring filmmaker. I am working on a film right now that I would love to animate- though I have tried and tried and tried, I do not have the patience. I've heard from interviews from other animators that collaboration is a beautiful thing and so I am trying to pursue whatever I can, whether that be collaboration or just advice to help me get on the right path.

The film I am working on is a drama. I have spent a handful of months working on the story and writing a screenplay. Production design is also an issue I have, which I believe would be better if I had help from maybe a team. I've gotten ideas down and tried animating traditionally on programs such as Pencil 2D, Photoshop, hand drawn, etc. With my attention span, it can become frustrating. I've also storyboarded.

Basically, if I had a team I would need someone who can animate. Or even someone to critique my story even more. I've tried to get my peers to help but I don't trust their judgement nor their commitment. I've watched tons of videos online about animators and what they did... I guess it's hard to find experienced animators in my area. My budget unfortunately is at $0... This would be an independent feature film. I know they say, start short, but I'm feeling ambicious.

If anyone has any words of advice or tips, I'd love to read them. Even if they're negative, critiques are always good. Oh, and you can ask questions too if you have any. This is just my first project that is animation that I'm feeling very passionate about so I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and seek help from the AWN site!

Thank you for reading this,
