Can you, in the Flash based programs, preform a mutli-pass when rendering?
not that I know of, 3d programs and video editors can do it

My question has it roots in 3D programs. I saw a book that covers the subject extensively the other day, explaining what it is and how it works.
Building up scenes with multiple renders sounds like a strong tool to have in ones tool box. On the other hand, for Flash, it could be a big waste of time.
Is it even possible to combine multiple renders into one? It is just something that made me wonder.

you can look at it like automatic compositing, opposed to a person manually doing it. but it can produce some nice looks
