Screenplay writer (recently known for Little Miss Sunshine), Michael Ardnt has just been brought on board to write the script for TS3.

I wasnt excited about disney/pixar's plan to make a third sequel to this classic, in thoughts that it could ruin the entire story and franchise that is Toy Story (ie, Jurassic Park III). But after hearing this news, i'm having second thoughts, especially if Arndt can work that feel good magic he did for "Sunshine."

Arndt has been at Pixar for a little while now. He was a featured speaker at the Creative Screenwriting conference's "Pixar Day" last year. He also spoke about Little Miss Sunshine, but not in the same session ;)
I'm glad Pixar is doing it at least. As I understood before the acquisition, Disney was planning to run ahead on another "Toy Story" sequel with or without Pixar.
With efforts like "Chicken Little" I'm just not convinced that by themselves Disney has the creative team to produce anything decent right now.
Wouldn't that be a second sequel?
