Is this soft cool?

Hey all!
I'm interested in audio, which is purchased on the web... Is it really possible to convert it between several formats and remove DRM-protection...? You know, I've got an impressive collection and no possibility at all to listen :(
I've read something on related forums (i.e. about SoundTaxi converter), but still wondering if it's legal - they suppose it is!!!
So have u tried any DRM-converting soft???
