Actually, he just talks:

He's a work-in-progress but I thought this stage was interesting, marrying clay models with Flash.
There will be a lot more elements involved and the final output is intended to be video, so no promises on how well the swf will play for you. (it's 2.7 MB--it usually smooths out on the second go round). His VO will eventually be enhanced with echos and rockslide SFX. (which I'm hoping will disguise some of the mic bumps and page rustling.)

I really liked it, especially the voice. Perhaps you can scale it down by half for lower bandwidth folks. Waiting for more.

I can't get it to open. And I have the latest Flash plugin.
Pat Hacker, Visit Scooter's World.
Boogers. Sorry Pat, it is saved to v.7, but who knows. You're on dialup, right? Possibly it just hadn't finished downloading (there's no preloader, this very rough around the edges). There's also some new security behaviour I've noticed in Explorer where you have to click Flash windows to activate them--might try that.
I have had a weird bugaboo with my subdomain in the past. You might try this path:

or in case there's something in the html embed tag your browser didn't like, go straight to the swf:

Otherwise, you're not missing that much. I'll repost a shrunk-down, bandwidth-friendly of the completed sequence later. --t

i could see it.
pretty neat. Is there a reason the little eye...uh...flaps have an outline around them? it kind of makes them look less like a part of the volcano since the rest works together so well.
"who wouldn't want to make stuff for me? I'm awesome." -Bloo
Yeah, the reason for the outline is that the eyelids aren't done yet. Right now they are instances of the nose masked with Flash shapes. I haven't sculpted the real ones yet. The boulders that tumble down will be clay eventually, too.
I'm actually animating my scenes with a "stunt" volcano made of just Flash shapes. I'm using big detailed bitmaps in the final volcano so I can zoom in close, but that makes him sluggish and clunky to work with. When I get a scene all animated the last thing I do is paste in the fully-photographic library graphics, replacing the Flash-shape guy.

I love the idea of a "stunt volcano". Sounds like an great animation idea right there.
