Flash tutorials

anyone no where to get flash tutorials for just doing movie oriented things ... such as camera pans and zooms, or something like a walk cycle, nothing to do with actionscript

I've found shape hints to be a hit-or-miss proposition. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. And sometimes they work at first, then stop working when you add another shape further down the timeline.

Be sure your hints are lined up correctly (they turn green when they've snapped onto something), and that you're connecting the same two ends of the hint to the same place (A to A, B to B, etc).

Hope that helps.

Adding the shape hints in a counter clockwise direction tends to work the best. Not always, but shape tweens are pretty fickle. Also once you get the shape hint to work the way you want, it's best to keyframe that whole shape tween, sellect that those new keys and turn shape tween off. This makes your fla more stable. Also if you three shape tweens in succession, so the end key of the first shape tween is the first key of the second and so on, you are heading for disaster. If you do this and then try to adjust the middle shape tween, it'll crash Flash. Just a little tip.
