Zowie! I'm in an internationally published magazine!
Animation Magazine did a story on the internship I did over the summer in the October 2004 issue. Here's a link to the article.

(They insist on referring to me as 'Ryan Yokley' in the article)

Wow!
Wow, great stuff, Ender.
But I have to tell you - if you are going to work in this industry. Ryan Yokley will never work...You need to change your name, dude!
How about Lance?

Hilarious you should say that, Larry. A teacher I work with, when she saw what I was doing, told me that Rob Campbell wasn't cool sounding enough. We bounced around a few ideas and finally settled on Rupert Piston.
I went to a film fest which entered a 30 second short in (Mac and Retro) and just couldn't perpetrate myself as Rupert. This voice in the back of my head kept going, "yeah, sure, your name's Rupert Piston. Nobody's gonna buy that." I seem to have gotten over it and, though nobody except folks around here call me Rupert, I look forward to being called that in real life (?) at some point when promoting my short on the Harley run circuit in a few years...
Cool article, and congrats on the coverage!

There's a little biker in all of us...
Wow, the style of the Hellp short looks awesome!!!
Thanks motionmilitia! The guy that did the visual design for it is Josh Parpan. I'd send you to his website but alas, he doesn't have one. However, I suspect we'll be hearing about him in the future.
