The University of Southern California Marshall School of Business and Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity joined forces to create The Business of Gaming as an event to educate students about the financial world that is quickly developing behind the games they play. In order to make a successful new game or console, much more than game designers and programmers are needed; there is an entire business oriented aspect that is often left out of the spotlight. Issues such as marketing, advertising, financing, business models, licensing, entrepreneurship and development are key to the gaming industry and the event will highlight these concepts.
