The Steed Symposium: The Business Of The Business

The Loyola Marymount University School of Film and Television (SFTV) will present The Steed Symposium: The Business of the Business, a day-long conference showcasing top industry executives in content, finance, marketing and distribution and emerging media.

The Steed Symposium is being underwritten by LMU alumnus Michael R. Steed, a member of the university's Board of Trustees. Steed is the md of Paladin Capital Partners Fund LP, a private equity firm.

The Steed Symposium will add a new dimension to the storytelling and artistic focus of the SFTV curriculum by examining the business side of the creative process. The panels will examine a wide range of topics, including the business of content, financing, digital rights management, new distribution platforms, the role of marketing, promotion and publicity, legal issues, personal representation and other key business related areas.
