The annual Oxford Media Convention, organized by ippr in partnership with MediaGuardian, will look ahead to identify the policy, governance and business challenges facing the wider media industry as digital switchover and convergence become consumer realities.
The Rt. Hon. James Purnell, MP, secretary of state for culture, media and sport, will announce government plans to set up an industry-government exchange to explore the challenges and opportunities of convergence. In particular, the secretary of state will spend two hours with delegates looking at the priorities for this government-led convergence think tank.
