MESH, an animated film created by The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles faculty member Beau Janzen, was recently awarded "Best Animation" at the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. Mesh explores the advancement of discrete geometry from the ancient Greeks to contemporary research topics. The animations takes advanced concepts in discrete geometry that have never previously been visualized and conveys them in a way that is palpable and relevant to even a novice audience. The screening will take place at The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles on Monday, November 21, 2005 at 4:30 pm. Admission is free.
