Animator/s wanted

I'm in the NY area trying to find an animator for a music project. Since I don't know where to begin or the first thing about animation I think I want a illustrator animator, but I think flash may work. The project is a musical body of work with animation projected on a big screen behind the musical ensemble. around 45 minutes of animation at least. I'm looking for the anime to be in the style of 80's cartoon/french/japan anime style. here is a link of an example

James--

If you are looking for a single animator to do 45 minutes of animation, in that stated style--and I'd guess probably involving multiple characters--you are looking at that person working on this project for AT LEAST a couple of years full-time. And by full-time, I mean to the exclusion of any other activity that could produce income.

Actually, some calculations show me that 45 minutes of animation adds up to 64,800 frames ( assuming the frame rate is 24fr/sec) or about 4050 feet of film.
Given that a sane/sensible footage rate for an animator is about 10 feet a week--again, assuming more than one character in a scene more than 50% of the time and that the animation will likely have to cue to a musical beat--and you have a time-line of about EIGHT years to complete the work.
If the animator is some hotshot talent, maybe chop that in half.

That's for one person.

45 mins in Flash with decent prep time could be had much sooner. But def not by one person. forget it.
