I just thought I'd post the first two things I did when I started experimenting in flash. Now I'd planned on doing a simple walk cycle(which i may actually finish) but soon I wanted to do much more. So I made up a title card. And then went to practice my lipsynching.

I'm workin' on more. to do it how I really want i'm going to have to get much better hang of flash. i want to do the whole toon like an old cartoon, which could consist of singing as the character walks down the road. and i'll definately need to storyboard it. especially because i keep thinking of the music being provided by all sorts of bugs, cricket's playing their legs like violins and all that stuff.

Those are great teasers! The artwork and music match pretty well. I was waiting for Mickey Mouse to jump out somewhere though on that Happy Feet song!

I mostly just did/do more illustration stuff. With the hopes of being able to do character design(cause I just didn't have the mindset for animating). Then I figured, why wait for Cartoon Network to bite on a submission. I finally have a pc good enough to handle the programs I need, and I don't know anyone else that could animate for me.
And now that I've broken the spell World of Warcraft held on me, I'm finally underway.

Nice work Deadsquid. My only problem with the lip sync is that it looks like his toung hinges from the front and not the back. Other than that, great job for your first animation ever.

actually now that you mention it I do need to curve the tongue. so it goes where it should. I blame it on my creative juices still being sapped by warcraft. Thanks for pointing it out, otherwise I might not have paid any mind to it. =)
