6) Black Dynamite (Oct. 16)

In the style of a classic blackploitation flick, this one looks like badass fun.
5) The Princess and the Frog

Looks gorgeous, but I'm still waiting for this one to blow me away. However, the word out of Disney's fan convention D23 has been great, and that's great to me.
4) Trick 'r Treat (Oct. 6)

I always like a good horror flick. This one has been sitting on the shelves at Warner Bros. since 2007, despite rave reviews from the horror press. It's finally coming to DVD and Blu-ray and can't wait to see if the story is as good as the amazing images in the trailer.
3) Up In the Air

I placed Jason Reitman's dramedy about a corporate downsizing expert at #14 on my most anticipated films of the fall list. This week we get an enigmatic trailer and a funny clip. I'm hoping the film is more like the clip than the trailer. I really love Vera Farmiga.
2) The White Ribbon

This import came in #13 on my fall list. If I didn't like director Michael Haneke's previous work, I might write this one off as pretentious hogwash from the trailer. But don't. The word is great and the Ingmar Bergman vibe to the material has me intrigued, but also worried, that even if it is good, the black & white photography and Euro flavor will scare off most viewers.

The more I see of this George Clooney comedy, the more I want to see it now.
