The 21st annual Chicago International Childrens Film Festival is the only Academy-qualifying festival for childrens films in the world and the largest in North America. Categories include shorts, features, live-action, animation, television productions, documentaries, and child-produced and youth-produced work. There is no entry fee for submissions by filmmakers ages 6 to 13.
Chicago Museum of Science and Industry Oscars Display
Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago will have the 2004 Oscars on display prior to the awards ceremony on Feb. 29, 2004. This is the first time in Academy history that all of the Oscars will be on display prior to Oscar Night. In partnership with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Oscar manufacturer R.S. Owens, the exhibit showcases the 50 world-famous statuettes, the Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award and the Scientific and Engineering Award. Additionally, the "From Mold to Gold" exhibit will demonstrate the science and technology R.S.
CATNAP (Chicago Area Toon Novices and Professionals) Meeting
