Hello, I have been exporting captured DV(uncompressed .AVI) footage as frames(.bmp's), editing colors, etc, then importing back into a program and saving as another uncompressed .avi file. The process works fine, but my captured source video is interlaced, so editing each frame takes longer than it should. Because of what I am doing, using a magic wand tool in a photo program, etc, the interlaced lines can get in the way of quick changes. Now, I am planning on eventually showing my work to friends on a TV. So if I deinterlace the source captured video and do the same process as above, will there be any problems with the video, if played on a television? I am sure the deinterlaced frame grabs would be lots easier to work with, it's just I'm new to this technique, so I am not sure how to go about this in the best way. Is it possible, I could use some kind of deinterlaced capture, then use an interlaced method of exporting the final video for watching on television??
Please help if you have experience in this field. Thank you

What video software are you using? You might get an answer here but I would think that there is a forum for the video editor you are using. I use FinalCut so I go to the forums at Apple with my questions. Good Luck.

You could try de-interlacing the source video first by making it "progressive" in your output settings. This can be done in many different packages, after effects, premier, final cut. You could then export your video as an image sequence ( you may have done this already) and mess with them?
