Remarkably Bold Venture of the Rabbit

By timdrage | Thursday, August 5, 2004 at 4:55am

I've finally managed to get my 2000 graduation film Remarkably Bold Venture of the Rabbit up online!

You can find out more and download the movie at http://www.spiteyourface.com/rabbit/

Hope you enjoy. It's quite strange, and mixes different styles in a deliberately collagey way.

Don't ask me what it all means! :)

"don't ask what it all means" That's what you said.
Okay.

Well, good thing you put that question out of my misery, because I just didn't understand this beautiful stop motion piece. I appreciate that you use different mediums of compositing with this. I liked it alot:)

I don't know what made the bad guy so evil. One minute he's sleeping with a saw grinding his head, the next, a bunny and a man kick ass.

DEFINITELY cool combat with the stop motion! Easily the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot of people try to get the physics of that kind of thing down and all of them fail. You didn't.

Keep up the great work:)

Hey, thanks, glad you liked! I was originally going to have more super-8 stop motion in there, but didn't have time... probably for the best as I think that made it more interesting, I had to improvise more experimental ways of doing things. :)

I'm not sure why he was evil either! If I ever knew I certainly can't remember now! :)

Thanks for the nice comment about the fighting, I was pleased with that! Especially using scratching on film as anime-esque speedlines, though you had to be on my course to appreciate the full irony of that in-joke! :)
