Going Green is about conserving the environment, and promoting sustainable development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. Hollywood leadership has recently announced Going Green initiatives to conserve the environment and to influence public opinions -- in development of TV, film, cable and music programming; and in implementing environmentally sensitive policies in running day-to -day business operations.

LC3 is a unique event geared towards raising the awareness and sensitivity of the public (especially the youths) towards the vast field of cartoons, comics and animation creation and publishing while adding a boost to the nation's reading and entertainment culture.

Nicole Dreiske, Founder/Artistic Director of the Chicago International Children's Film Festival, will present the workshop "Taming TV" on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 10:00 am at the 2007 NAEYC Conference at the McCormick Place North Building, Room N427A. Attended by more than 30,000 participants, the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children) Conference is the largest national event focused on early childhood education. The NAEYC Conference features more than 1,800 presenters, keynotes, seminars and discussions over five days, Nov. 8-13.

Thousands of bloggers, vloggers and podcasters are set to descend on Las Vegas for BlogWorld & New Media Expo, the world's first industry-wide blogging tradeshow. The inaugural event, to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center, with pre-show seminars Wednesday, Nov. 7, will bring together professional and citizen journalists, entertainment icons, industry pundits, and popular social communities, as well as Internet radio and TV producers and podcasters, in the most important assembly of future new-media moguls.

MJ Prods. is host the workshop "Get Big Time Success in VO." Matthew Walters, booth director at the William Morris Agency, will be conducting the event. Walter is also a hypnotherapist, certified by the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. He is going to give techniques for more successful performances. Each person will go into the booth and read copy and then return to their seats. Walters will teach the group his hypnotherapy techniques then each person will go back in the booth read again and see if they experience a shift in themselves. The course will run from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm.

The Dubai International Character & Licensing Fair -- Character Dubai brings together character and licensing professionals from around the globe. The Screenwriting Expo Screenplay Competition offers more than $150,000 in prizes and a $50,000 production deal. This year the competition has added a television category. The grand-prize winner will receive $20,000 cash, a trip to Los Angeles to attend Screenwriting Expo 6, plus $1,000 in semifinalist prizes. Screenwriting Expo will also award four genre category prizes, which includes $2,500 cash, a trip to L.A. for the event, plus $1,000 in semifinalist prizes.

ASIFA India is proud to present yet another year of the International Animation Day -- IAD 2007.

This year's IAD celebration will have a twist. Instead of celebrating the occasion on just one day, we plan to take the celebration across the country for a whole week, with multiple sessions in different cities within India. Now in its 24th year, The Chicago International Children's Film Festival is the largest and longest running festival of films for children in the U.S. Last year the festival screened 220 films and videos from 40 countries for audiences of 24,000 children and families.
