Warner Bros. has teamed up with Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment and Australia-based animation studio Animal Logic on a five-year deal to co-produce and co-finance animated and hybrid features for a family audiences.

First reported on Deadline, the deal calls for the companies to share a development fund and all films will be distributed by Warner Bros., with responsibilities and credits determined case-by-case.

Imagine has previously produced the Howard-directed How the Grinch Stole Christmas and an Emmy-winning Curious George series for television. Howard directed Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opens May 25.

Animal Logic has a long history with Warner Bros., including the Oscar-winning animated feature Happy Feet, as well as The LEGO Movie, its upcoming sequel and The LEGO Batman Movie. The studio also produced the Sony-released Peter Rabbit.
