Animation studio Titmouse recently teamed with Box Studios’ Pascal Dangin to create a high-fashion ad for Lancôme promoting the cosmetic giant’s collaboration with designer Alber Elbaz.

Pascal and Titmouse art director Antonio Canobbio worked closely with Elbaz and the Lancôme team to create the look for the spot. Animation was completed in Adobe Flash, with clean-up done in Photoshop. Elements were then imported into Adobe After Effects for compositing.

“We ended up developing a whole new style which we had never done before,” Titmouse producer Peedee Shindell commented. “We had to study how models walk on the runway and all that. Which animators don’t generally know... some did, though!”
