Following on from the success of “Sally’s Story” in 2013, Studio AKA director Eamonn O’Neill has directed another captivating spot for the NSPCC called “Online Bullying: Three Things That Can Help.”

This time around, the NSPCC was looking for ways for young people visiting the ChildLine website to get practical tips and techniques to help overcome online bullying; namely by suggesting three simple ways towards building confidence, which can help people maintain a more positive outlook.

Warmly narrated by Michael Smiley, the short film talks directly to the affected individual viewer in a gently optimistic way, and the visual message is kept straightforward and appealing through the disarming faux “digital-cuboid” style that Eamonn employs -- which in turn mimics the simple message that confidence can be built up block by block.

The whole piece has been animated and colored by hand in Adobe Flash and features an equally restrained audio and music design by Nic Gill.
