Writer Michael Chabon has met with director Jon Favreau about coming on as the new writer of MAGIC KINGDOM, reports Heat Vision. BATTLESTAR GALACTICA's Ron Moore wrote the first draft of the NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM-like adventure set in the Disney theme parks.

Chabon has been working on several high profile pics at Disney, including SNOW AND THE SEVEN and JOHN CARTER OF MARS. Additionally, he penned the book for the upcoming DUMBO stage musical. Moreover, Chabon just got the go-ahead from HBO on his WWII-set project HOBGOBLIN.
