A new international trailer has been released for Universal’s forthcoming supernatural feature, Dracula Untold, a reimagining of Dracula’s origins heavily informed by the history of Vlad Tepes, also known as Vlad the Impaler.

The new trailer showcases many of the film’s effects, which are overseen by Dracula Untold VFX supervisor Christian Manz and produced at Framestore, Milk VFX, Level 256 and Peanut:

Starring Luke Evans (Fast & Furious 6, The Hobbit) Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Charles Dance, Dracula Untold is directed by Ireland’s Gary Shore and produced by Michael De Luca. Written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, Dracula Untold opens in U.S. theaters on October 10, 2014.
