Lionsgate, Icahn Issue 10-Day Truce
Lionsgate and Carl Icahn have agreed to a 10-day truce in the battle over control of the company, reports VARIETY. The deal was made in an effort for the company to work on an acquisition. Lionsgate had been in talks to acquire MGM.
As part of the deal, the company will share information with Icahn about the deal and then disclose that information later to investors. Lionsgate will not issue any common stock during the 10 days. Additionally, the company will not announce the next shareholders meeting within the next 45 days.
