Richard Linklater (WAKING LIFE) is Warner Bros.' top choice to helm the remake of THE INCREDIBLE MR. LIMPET, reports 24 Frames. The new film would be a live-action/animation hybrid like the 1964 original, which starred Don Knotts. However, the WWII setting will be contemporized, but it is unknown at this point what underwater threat the man-turned-fish will encounter. The project has been in the works for nearly a decade. Most recently Kevin Lima (ENCHANTED) was set to direct with Zach Galifianakis taking the title character.
