Judge and Daniels’ ‘Bad Crimes’ Cancelled Mid-Production at Netflix

(From L-R) ‘Bad Crimes’ executive producer Mike Judge, creator and executive producer Nicole Silverberg, and executive producer Greg Daniels.
The adult comedy procedural was originally ordered for a 10-episode season. Created by Nicole Silverberg, Bad Crimes follows Kara and Jennie, two FBI agents who travel around the country solving gruesome crimes as their friendship, career goals, and love lives hang in the balance. Judge and Daniels executive produced through Bandera Entertainment. Netflix’s former head of adult animation, Mike Moon, previously stated that with “the immense voice talents of Nicole and Lauren, we know Bad Crimes will be set up for great success.”
While no reason for the cancellation has been officially released, it seems to have been a casualty of a change in leadership, which began when Moon left Netflix in July in favor of Universal. Whatever the reason, let’s hope this move isn’t a harbinger of more axes to fall, and doesn’t lead to a Warner Bros. Discovery type fiasco.
