Brian Kirk (HBO's GAME OF THRONES) is in discussions to take the helm of Marvel Studios and Disney's THOR 2, reports Show Blitz. The website writes that the studios like his ability to balance ensemble casts with fantasy elements. Chris Hemsworth is set to return as the god of thunder. Kenneth Branagh helmed the original THOR. The sequel is set to hit theaters on July 26, 2013.
