Disney’s animated hit Frozen is going to China, according to a report by The Wrap.

The studio said that China Film Group, the government agency and gatekeeper for non-domestic films looking to enter the world’s fastest-growing movie market, had indicated it would allow a 2014 release for Disney Animation’s 3D family film. No date has yet been set.

China currently restricts the showing of foreign-made films in Chinese cinemas, but in 2012 it expanded its cap on foreign films to 34, up from its previous 20.

Hollywood studios have been banking on China to help make up for slowing revenue growth in North America. In August, the Wall Street Journal reports, the U.S. summer blockbuster Pacific Rim, a co-production between Time Warner, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, grossed 694.2 million yuan in China, giving the movie a shot in the arm after its disappointing showing in North America.

Frozen, which took in $6.4 million at the domestic box office on Christmas Day, needs no such assistance. At home the film has already made $210.4 million over its 34 days of release, while overseas the 3D animated feature has taken in over $152.6 million.
