Skyler Page, the creator of Cartoon Network’s Clarence, has been fired from the studio amid allegations of sexual assault made by a female co-worker, according to a report by Cartoon Brew.

In a series of Twitter posts on Tuesday and Wednesday, Adventure Time storyboard artist Emily Partridge accused Page of assaulting her. While the details of the alleged incident are not clear, a Cartoon Network representative confirmed that Page had been dismissed as an employee of the Burbank-based animation facility.

“Skyler Page is no longer an employee at Cartoon Network Studios,” a spokesman said.

The series revolves around an eternally optimistic young boy named Clarence (voiced by Page) and his friends Jeff (voiced by Sean Giambrone) and Sumo (voiced by Tom Kenny). Page, a former storyboard artist for Adventure Time and revisionist for Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, developed the series at Cartoon Network Studios as part of its animated short development initiative in 2012; two other shows, Steven Universe and Over the Garden Wall, also rose from this initiative.

The pilot, which aired in February to an audience of approximately 2.3 million viewers, outperformed in its time slot and was ultimately nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy Award. The series, which debuted in April, is expected to continue with production of new episodes without Page.
